Aramaic Hyperbole

Aramaic Hyperbole

In a discussion elsewhere, I've been unable to recall the name of a Syrian Christian writer who wrote popular books for western Christians explaining the New Testament in terms of its Aramaic hyperbole. Does anyone recall that writer's name or the title of one his books?

Could it be a question of George M. Lamsa? His _New Testament Light_ runs along the lines you suggest. Nutty book, but fun. I seem to remember it was pretty widely distributed and advertised when it was first published.

Best,

Thanks for your response but, no it isn't Lamsa. The writer I'm thinking of was an ancient Syrian. I'm thinking his name began with an E, but I'm not locating it anywhere.

Oh well, I'll probably find it when looking up something else.
